UNS N06600 (Inconel 600)
Generic Name & Synonyms
Inconel 600®, Alloy 600, Nickel Alloy 600, W.Nr. 2.4816, NiCr15Fe , NC15Fe (AFNOR)
Product Overview
UNS N06600 (popularly marketed as Inconel 600) is a classic nickel-chromium-iron solid-solution alloy designed for applications requiring high structural integrity combined with resistance to elevated temperatures and corrosive attack.
Its substantial nickel proportion provides remarkable resistance to reducing conditions and chloride cracking, while chromium content grants protection against sulfur compounds and oxidizing environments. Alloy 600 cannot be precipitation-hardened; its mechanical strength is achieved exclusively through cold working.
Key Highlights
✅ High-Purity Nickel Matrix Protection: Formulated with a minimum 72% nickel content, delivering virtual immunity to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking across harsh industrial settings.
✅ Thermal Oxidation Stability: Excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation, carburization, and nitriding environments up to 1150°C (2100°F).
✅ Versatile Environmental Compatibility: Exhibits robust chemical resistance against dry chlorine, hydrogen chloride, and alkaline solutions.
✅ Stable Non-Magnetic Response: Maintains non-magnetic properties from cryogenic limits to elevated temperature thresholds.
✅ Certified Export Supply by BELNADE: Fully tested and processed stock compliant with ASME, ASTM, and DIN standards for global industrial applications.
