UNS N07750 (Inconel X-750)

Generic Name & Other Designation

Inconel X-750, Alloy X750, Nickel Alloy X-750,W.Nr. 2.4669, NC15Ti (AFNOR)

Product Overview

UNS N07750 (famously known as Inconel X-750) is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium alloy designed for applications requiring high creep-rupture strength, spring resilience, and oxidation resistance under high thermal stress.

Through controlled heat treatments (solution treating followed by single or double aging), UNS N07750 develops distinct mechanical profiles tailored for high-temperature springs, gas turbine bolts, or cryogenic seals.

Key Highlights

High Relaxation Resistance: Exceptionally low stress-relaxation rates at elevated temperatures, maintaining elastic spring properties up to 700°C (1300°F).

Precipitation Hardening via Titanium & Aluminum: Intermetallic gamma prime phase precipitation gives high creep-rupture strength up to 815°C (1500°F).

Cryogenic Toughness: Retains excellent ductility and mechanical strength in sub-zero environments down to -196°C.

Oxidation Resistance: Solid chromium addition grants effective resistance to high-temperature oxidation and industrial atmospheres.
